Spirits of the Black Experience (SOTBE) astral projects to periods in Chicago when the great Sun Ra was at the height of his cosmic jazz years. Shannon takes on a new persona as “Nosarnus” reaching back to his free jazz roots similar to his work on The New World Reveal-A-Solution. The Quartet plays some minimal- spacey vibrations with futuristic digital subliminal messages wrapped around lavish strings arrangements on top of a Bata rhythm.
