Taken from the 2010 Audio Urbanology: The Art of Audio Truism album, 'Don't Let Go of Your Dreams' gives testament to a time when Shannon pursued international recording opportunities leading him to UK's Hammond artist, Bennett Holland. While Shannon was on a European tour, Bennett invited him to visit the JUBE (Julie and Bennett) production studio in Sheffield, UK. Being a JUBE fan, Harris took them up on the their offer to overdub vocals, guitar, keys, and rhodes over a production that was originally written for Chicago's own, Dana Lynn. The special occasion started with Julie preparing an incredible vegan lunch (I owe you one, Julie) that transitioned into an intimate arrangement and recording session. Minutes turned into hours and hours into the next day ending with the birth of a classic Chicago UK collaboration. On percussion is long time friend Jim Bruno and Urbanicity mainstay Junius Paul on bass.
During a Swank Society affair in Bronzeville on Chicago's Southside, Shannon was approached by Brandice Manuel who had purchased the New World Reveal-A-Solution album. She compared that album to the work of her grandfather, the late Charlse Stepney. She requested that Harris look into the expansive library of the Rotary Connection, Minnie Riperton, and Chess Records. After exchanging numbers and researching the musical legacy Brandice was born through, Shannon invited her into Groove Entourage Studio to record the lucid dream-like, 'Into the Light'. Harris commissioned Junius Paul (bassist) and Bennett Holland (keyboardist) to join in on the instrumentation process and the masterpiece took flight! 'Into the Light' was originally licensed in 2015 to Neroli Recordings in Italy on vinyl. This is the first time it is being released digitally to the world.
