This project spawned from a close friendship Shannon made with a fellow Kenyan pen pal named Rhouzie Juma who had pasted away from Cancer without his knowledge. After reuniting on Face Book with some of the people she had given his first album to, he had only then found out about her death which inspired him to record a song enriched with Kenyan Culture as a tribute to her. Shannon also produced another version of this song for Africa Japiny’s album which got major radio play in Kenya. While laying guitars with Koku Gonza he also produced another song entitled “One” for her upcoming album release inspired from Afrika’s arrangements.
