Taking an endless audio flight to several destinations, Shannon Harris' "Audio Urbanology: The Art of Audio Truism" becomes available August 21st. Six years in the making, this album celebrates and transforms Harris’ African roots and Latin/Asian/Middle Eastern influences into an alluring aural narrative. Weaving sultry vocals and live instrumentation together, this critically acclaimed project also features colorful, esoteric artwork, that is sure to take you on a symphony orchestrated, fantasy filled trip around the globe. about

Leroy B-Boy is inspired by the deaths of Fela Kuti and James Brown. AFROBEAT , explored the message music of American soul and R&B with the intention to convey the signs of the times of African experiences. AFROBEAT is making a huge impact on dance floors and rising to the top of iPod playlists. The genre is currently being performed on many international stages by bands like Akoya, Antibalas, Mr. Something Something, Soul Jazz Orchestra, Afro Dizz and so many others making its messages relevant to today and the future. Leroy B-Boy shines light on a tale of an urban youth who is involved in some of the negative influences stemming from the streets, racial profiling and misguidance. The song screams out to urban youth that they are all “born to be the greatest”. Societal and media type casting of black male youth has instilled negative perceptions of them globally. Leroy B-Boy is a sound track of resistance providing inspirational messages of Black Excellence.
